the light of a thousand expectations shines in my eyes
i bought some new sunglasses, they're polarised
i'm trying to imagine the light of paris
and london and berlin and italy and spain
the clatter of voices in different accents
and the feeling of not being in a familiar place
the quiet sensation of snow
and cold wind on a big black puffer coat
feeling the noises through my skin
finding new colour palettes
opening lazy doors
an explorer of private bliss

shining a torch in the crevices of memory
from a hundred years gone by
found fossils of memories
coming back to life

soft

its yellow
and soft
smothers me with shine
breathing in light
flavoured with rain and hail
sprinkle me in a gentle moment
